Owner/Designer

Jeff has been interested in Solar since he was around 10 years old. Forty years later, the interest is still going strong. Jeff also promotes electric vehicles having owned several and building his first in 1999.

Company Profile

At LRE we have been involved with renewable energy for over 30 years and have taken the time to learn many different systems and technologies to provide the best products and complete systems for each project.

Our first full scale residential solar and wind install was completed in 1994, but many years of research and education on renewable energy lead to a passion for all things that produce energy in a sustainable way without producing pollution. Below are just a few of the things we have been involved with over the last 30 years.

Helping shape the future of Sustainable Energy.

Installation of many grid tied and off grid solar systems, some with wind generation.
Worked as an advisor on various large scale solar projects for cities, organizations and other committees.
Built an electric vehicle in 1999 and still driving electric vehicles daily powered from home by solar. EV's are approximately 80% efficient compared to around 15% for a gasoline vehicle.
Grew Pennycress for high quality biodiesel on our local farm. Even though this is a fuel that is burned, it is renewable and can be grown right here in the US.
The use of LED lights for general purpose lighting starting in 1999. All lights at LRE are LED, a 98% energy savings over standard bulbs.
Energy, water and other resource conservation practices with building construction ideas for now and the future.
